The next meeting of the Disability Rights Consortium will take place on Wednesday 12/10 from 9:30-11:00 at Equip for Equality (20 North Michigan, Suite 300). Our featured speaker this month will be Adele Rapport, the new Chief of the Chicago Office for Civil Rights for the U.S. Department of Education. Adele will be speaking about the work of OCR and her ideas about collaborating with the disability community. As many of you may know, Adele was the head of the Detroit office of the EEOC and has been a very strong advocate on behalf of people with disabilities over the years. We are very fortunate that she has taken the OCR position in Chicago.
