Translation Volunteer Project Manager VISTA project will increase the agency's capacity to provide plain language legal information in Spanish to help break the cycle of poverty. This VISTA project will help us implement an online collaboration system, the Translation Volunteer Project Manager to help put the law within reach regardless of their language, location, income, and education. The TVPM does this by coordinating volunteer translators and bloggers who translate, draft, review and revise our content. At the end of this project year, we would like to be able to offer 40% of our site content in Spanish. Create a profile on and look for our position to apply.

Responsibilities: (1) Recruit, train and engage with volunteers who work to translate ILAO’s legal information, write blog posts about issues specific to the Latinx community; (2) Coordinate with staff to ensure that content is kept up to date through law changes or newer information becoming available; (3) Assist the content director in creating and managing a workflow process that uses technology to implement collaboration; (4) Edit and publish volunteer work product to ensure it meets the requirements of the site; (5) Track progress of volunteer hours and engage with volunteers to improve their satisfaction.
