OrganizationChicago Legal Clinic
The Chancery Division Advice Desk (Desk) helps pro se litigants who have cases in the Chancery Division - many of those cases are mortgage foreclosures. Volunteers provide brief advice and assist with the preparation of petitions, responses, motions, etc.; volunteers do not provide representation to litigants. Attorney volunteers must be licensed to practice in Illinois. Law student volunteers must have a 711-license. Training and supervision is provided at the Desk by Chicago Legal Clinic attorneys. Applicants should email a brief cover letter and resume to Lucy Torres, Volunteer Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
