A medical forensic exam is a medical examination of a sexual assault When a person commits an act of sexual penetration by force or threat of force. Done without the consent of the victim. • Tracking information for the survivor’s rape kit,
• Instructions about any follow-up exams the survivor should have,
• Instructions about the medication the survivor may need,
• Referrals for counseling, and
