- Overview of School Discipline Law
- Suspensions, Expulsions, and Informal Exclusion from School
- IEPs, Disabilities, and Discipline
As the state of Illinois continues to operate without a budget there has arisen a larger need on the part of students and families for legal advocacy. This course is part three of three courses meant to provide attorneys with a broad overview of special education law and school discipline law in Illinois. In part three participants will learn the specific laws and procedures involved in school discipline issues. Participants will look specifically at suspensions, expulsions, informal exclusions from school, and the intersection between special education and school discipline. Participants will also consider and apply their new knowledge in four case study examples.
