Eviction from public housing is different from eviction from private housing. The following information is for private tenants who are being evicted by their landlords.
If you are living in public housing, you have the right to a hearing before you can be evicted. You also may have a longer cure period for non-payment of rent.
Note: This may not apply if you are being evicted for criminal behavior or drug use.
