LAF’s Education Law Pro Bono Project utilizes volunteer attorneys to represent students in special education matters (e.g., seeking services, modifying services, school placement) and school discipline matters (e.g., expulsion). The purpose of this video is to provide further training in education advocacy for LAF’s pro bono attorneys who have previous experience in education cases and/or attended LAF Basics of Education Advocacy. Attorneys who attend this program will learn more about speech-language and augmentative communication issues that commonly arise in special education cases, and how to advocate for evaluations, appropriate goals, and additional services.
