To get a copy of a parental responsibilities Making important decisions for a child (significant decision-making responsibility) and spending time with them (parenting time) order, you can search for your case file. Sometimes the order is called "Allocation of Parental Responsibilities When a court splits up parenting time, decision-making responsibility, and child support between parents (formerly called "custody") Order." Sometimes it is part of other judgment An official decision by a court that ends the dispute between parties  or order. 

For example, it may be part of 

• a Judgment for Dissolution of Marriage Divorce in a divorce case,
• a Parentage The relationship between a parent and a child Order in a parentage case, or
• an order of protection A document from a judge that tells an abuser to stop further domestic abuse, or face penalties in a domestic abuse case. 

It may also be part of any of the following types of cases:

• Allocation of parental responsibilities (custody)
• Legal separation,​ or
• Child support Money paid by a parent to help another parent support a minor child or an adult child with a disability .
