Forms

Illinois Legal Aid Online leverages technology to infinitely scale the number of people who can be served. ILAO's Form Library provides over 80 free legal forms for people seeking solutions to their legal problems. In 2018, ILAO created over 87,000 personalized documents.

Our Easy Forms make it easy to create customized, legal documents. These forms can be court forms, letters, or other legal papers. Easy Forms guide people through a simple interview. They answer questions, and the program assembles the answers into a neat, legal document individualized for each person.

Easy Forms:

  • Check to see if you are using the right forms;
  • Ask only the questions you need to answer; AND
  • Put your answers in all the right places on the forms.

Our most popular Easy Forms include:

  • Divorce, both with and without children;
  • Parenting plans;
  • Fee waivers, for individuals who can't afford to pay their court fees;
  • Orders of Protection; AND
  • Motions.

My lawyer also praised my awesome typing skills. I thanked her but told her the credit was due to the law help interactive website. Thank you for the help, I’ve been procrastinating the financial affidavit for a while and so happy to have this extra help." - on using our Financial Affidavit form

At its annual benefit on June 5, 2018, ILAO featured Janice Coleman, who works at the GoodWill of Danville Career Service Center. In addition to helping patrons find answers on ILAO’s website, she used the ILAO Expungement Easy Form for herself. She spoke about how ILAO’s Easy Forms changed her life.
