Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO), a statewide nonprofit, seeks older adults to serve on an Older Illinoisan Homeowner group. Group participants will help ILAO identify how to improve its free information and services.
Homeowners will participate in 4 focus groups between April 1 and December 31, 2023. Each homeowner will earn $125 per session.
To join the panel, you must:
- Live in or near Chicago
- Own your home (with or without a mortgage)
- Be 65 years or older as of April 1, 2023
- Be comfortable using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. For example, you know how to:
- Attend a Zoom meeting
- Send and receive email
- Read the news, shop, or play games on the Internet o Search using Google
- Be available to meet between 9am - 5pm
- Be willing to participate in person if necessary in downtown Chicago
- (we will pay for transportation or mileage)
- Be comfortable discussing financial and legal matters related to owning a home
