We Grown Now is a powerful coming-of-age story set in the very neighborhood where CGLA first began, the Cabrini-Green housing community. We chose this film because it beautifully captures the depth of friendship and the joy found in everyday moments in the Cabrini community, while also navigating the harsh realities of systemic disinvestment and over-surveillance. It hints at the very reasons CGLA was founded, and reminds us why our mission remains just as urgent and essential today.
