CVLS Seminar: Emergency Guardianship Plans for Immigrant Families

Rebekah Rashidfarokhi, CVLS’ Director of Guardianship and Immigration Programs for Children, will share information in English on the three forms of guardianship in the state of Illinois, and how immigrant parents can utilize the Illinois statutory short term guardianship form to create an emergency care plan for their children in the event of the parents’ detention or deportation. Templates, resources, and instructional videos in Spanish and English will also be shared with participants and may be shared widely.
