Virtual AI Office Hours: UPL and AI

Curious where the lines are between AI tools and the unauthorized practice of law? Join virtual AI office hours on Tuesday, December 9 at 12:00 pm for a presentation and discussion on UPL and AI led by Melissa Smart, Director of Education at the Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission (ARDC). You will learn about key UPL considerations and concerns and what legal aid programs should keep in mind as they explore responsible AI adoption. Bring your questions and any UPL and AI scenarios you’re wrestling with.

Professionals who work in the legal aid community are invited to join semi-monthly virtual AI office hours, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm. Each meeting will feature an educational presentation on a topic related to AI, or a "show & tell” by legal aid community members.
