Once a judge has ordered an Order of Protection against an abuser, the survivor has the right to enforce it whenever there is a violation of the order. The survivor should carry a copy of the Order of Protection with them at all times and should become familiar with what it requires. If an abuser violates the terms of the Order of Protection, the survivor can call 911 to report violations or file a motion with the court.
