The Illinois Workplace Violence Protection Act gives employers the ability to help employees who are survivors of domestic violence Harm by one household or family member against another household or family member. Harm may be an emotional, mental, or physical injury and provide a safe working environment. The Act gives employers the right to ask for a Workplace Protection Restraining Order on behalf of their employees. This is a powerful tool that can be one of many ways employers can provide safe working environments for their employees, customers, and guests.
